HOW DARE AMERICA NOT FOLLOW ME IN LOCKSTEP!

Like the water doused Wicked Witch of the West, our incredibly shrinking Dear Leader was in
perfect form last night. Chin held high, Mussoliniesque, arrogant, sashaying in his
TOTUS (Just in
case you’re from Normal , Il that means Teleprompter of the United States ) cocoon; Barack Hussein
Obama was proudly defiant--of the American people. He ignored the lessons of Bill Clinton’s mea
culpa and told America he
still wanted to impose upon them the very things they were lividly
against.

Like a drunken gambling addict, B. Hussein Obama doubled down -- with
our money.

Why?

Because he won. The rest of us stupid peons lost.

Don’t take my word. Dem Congressman Bill Pascrell, NJ, said after the “Won’s” speech,
“Democrats are at the height of arrogance.”

In an election year, Dems will deflect and defect from Obama. After the three disastrous elections in
NJ, VA and MA, Dems know that Dear Leader is an Emperor without clothes, much less coattails.
They’ll be begging him to stay home and
not campaign for them.

Once again, Obama blamed Republicans as the party of “no.” Even after Scottie’s election,
Republicans have no power to stop any Democrat bill, as long as it stays out of the Senate.

Next were the evil mongers on Wall Street. Then we were informed that Barack couldn’t change the
way Congress behaved even though it was
run by his own party.

Permanently imbedded to POTUS was his aged lament about the “Won” having to overcome his
predecessor, George W. If he had to run against the last administration, Cheney and all, he’d get
creamed.

In a rant inspired by his heroes, Mao, Stalin, Fidel and Hugo, Dear Leader bitch-slapped the
Supreme Court in front of the world, bringing mocking applause from the Dem pols who surrounded
them, while Judge Alito mouthed the words “not true.” Every justice there seemed stunned at this
rank challenge by the executive branch over the judicial. If there had been enough rope around, a few
of ‘em might have been lynched.

Today, legal experts showed that Dear Leader’s interpretation of the ruling was wrong. Who says
you have to be right to be a tyrant?

Dear Leader seemed unscathed by election defeats, town hall meetings and tea party protests. His
broken promises of transparency, earmark elimination and backdoor deals were ignored or blamed on
others.

Obama promised a “spending freeze” at a time when we are spending ourselves and our children’s
future into oblivion at
current levels. How cynical!

Barack still has his lackeys in the press, though. Chris Matthews said that while Barack was
speaking he”…forgot he was black.” Does that mean the billions of other blacks are inferior in
Matthew’s addled brain? Has MSNBC demanded his resignation yet? Sounds like another case for
Al Sharpton!

There were a few laughs.

For the first time ever, Dear Leader’s mouth formed words advocating “nuclear energy” and “off-
shore drilling.” If one had read this without knowing it, he’d think it was Sarah Palin. It Reminded me
of that throw-away line about tort reform he floated while peddling Obamacare.

After Obama falsely claimed the overwhelming evidence of Climate Change, AKA Man-Made
Global Warming,
before it was found to be a scam, both sides of the House laughed so hard they
pulled their hands out of each other’s pocket--for a moment.

The audacity of dope

Conspicuous in its absence was any mention of the inept handling of our national security by Dear
Leader’s Administration. No mention of Umar the underwear bomber’s Christmas day’s genital
special?

By the mandate of AG Eric Holder, Umar was Mirandized, thus silencing him. This was done in
light of a scant “interview” by the FBI who admitted there were no interrogation experts present.
Whatever information Umar had about al-Qaeda’s recruiting, personnel and future planned attacks
will be stacked in a brain that thought it his duty to murder 290 innocent civilians and whatever
people could be killed on the ground from collateral damage.

Mysteriously missing was Hillary. The Pantsuit Queen said she has no interest in running against
Obama in 2012. However, her absence hides the fact that she would have to have been filmed
applauding for Barack’s colossal failures, not exactly a good photo-op for someone you’re planning
on toppling.

Was it just me, or during the singing of the Star Spangled Banner during last week’s NFL playoffs,
did you feel a spiritual celebration from people who once felt their country fading away to proud
citizens once again restored to optimism in the best governmental system ever invented by man;
One
nation under G-d, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all?

As much as you try Mr. Obama, you are not going to break America ’s spirit.

Well said, David!

I bristle when I see the charge that opponents to HC are not willing to save billions in tax dollars
while covering millions of non insured people. HOW PRAY TELL DO DAT HAPPEN????

I wish the Non-Believers in the Dem's plan would shout out that they are not opposed to fix
what needs fixing but not at the expense of our kids, their kids, and probably their kids.

Pelosi now wants to "'Cram Down" a $300MM deal to push HC out of Senate. What about
Obama's plan to cut back spending?

I agree about Hillary needing to be out of town.

This is pissing me off, using tax payers money to spread rhetoric in Tampa in his so called
Town Meetings, Jesus!!!!

Keep the faith

Dave Weinbaum replies:

Thanks Ken.

Herb

George Bush bent over backwards to make sure the Won had the most accommodating transition
of administrations yet accomplished. Can you imagine how screwed up Obama would be if
GWB did to him what Slick Willie's adm

Dave Weinbaum replies:

If Bush ran against Obama right now, he’d win, even with Cheney in tow.

Thanks Herb.

Great story!

whatsnew

I don't even know where to start after reading this, I am sure that you must be someone who
could care less about anything, or anybody that doesn't put a dollar in your pocket. Our elected
(yes, you lost. Suck it up) Leader is doing something that has needed to be done for a long time
and that is take money from the rich. I'm sorry but no matter how many hours or gallons of
sweat you pour out during the course of doing your job, your salary should NOT be 6 figures. I
work hard for my pay and could use more at times, but I just don't understand how people that
make $100,000 or more think they need all of it to live on. Politics and greed go hand in hand and
I for one would agree to let President Obama do whatever is necessary to remove any lobby
from all corporations and special interest that are only looking for another dollar. Anyway, I'm
ranting and that wasn't my goal, all I really wanted to say is, this is America take it or leave it.
And in the words of someone I know you will believe,'If you're not with us you're against us.
Who's side are you on?

READ YOUR HISTORY....WE ARE ABOUT TO REPEAT IT!! There is a saying if you don't
learn your history you are bound to repeat it (or something close to it)...Surely to goodness we
are on the verge of falling into the trap of letting government take over our lives that slowely but
most assuredly will wake one day only to find out we no longer enjoy our freedom we so dearly
love. Take the time to research just how other countries leaders managed to take over (dictating)
the lives of people by outlawing private ownership of guns, supression of freedom of speech,
running the printing presses white hot 24/7 destroying our hard earned money (and savings) to
where it will take a wheelborrow full to purchase a few groceries! READ YOUR HISTORY
FOLKS YOU ARE ABOUT TO REPEAT IT!! 'Absolute
power corrupts absolutely'!

PCBuzz

Man, can you ever spin!

Glen

“Dear Leader”! That’s great.

Take a look at all the Joint Chiefs at the talk-down-to speech, who probably have 30+ years of
service each; you have to wonder what they think of this no count lightweight who’s never had a
job.

Dave Weinbaum replies:

You got that right, Glen.

Frank Krischanowski

I always enjoy your columns, especially the effective and tart humor so aptly directed at Dear
Leader. Keep it up!

Dave Weinbaum replies:

Thank you for taking the time to read and comment on my column.

All the Best!

Richard Kennedy

Thanks again for telling it like it is. Great observations and assessments. I hope your necessary
column is looked to by others as much as I look to it.

I recognized the "benito" image the first time I saw the raised slanted chin sticking out in 2008.

Dave Weinbaum replies:

I appreciate you taking the time to read and comment on my column. Glad you liked the
Mussolini comparison.

T. Karon

No more than the Iraq war. Remember?

Dave Weinbaum replies:

Tom,

Thank you for your detailed insight of the present conditions in DC.

Dave,Great column!!! The ST. of the Union speech bo. said he was open to coal, drilling, &
nuclear. There is a saying " After all is said & done more will be said than done!! We will make it
thru this liberal fiasco, & be stronger from it!! The Wagon pullers are finally speaking up !!

Dr. Dick

Same old thing..Still the boy without the tools to be a man. Expect the same from here on in and
make plans with this in mind. He is not an idealogue. He's just a boy, frozen in his shell create
by narcissm fed by those that would use him.

His next move can always be anticipated by thinking and acting like the Boy, thus bringing no
hopes or surprises.

Dave Weinbaum replies:

Thanks for your comments. I’m assuming your remarks indicate the immaturity of Obama’s
actions and not his race.

Dr. Dick

Dave..Race never occurred to me. Now that you bring it up, I see it only as a hope that he also
does not resort to it if things go awry. So much would be lost. As to what I have contended, I
see that as only one guide to judgments that must be made by those who believe the President is
on the wrong tract. Obama's inability to see how anyone can disagree with him is unlikely to
change, for I suspect there was little give and take, the basis for mature discussion, among his
mentors. Nothing in his speeches or demeanor thus far makes me think otherwise. I wish that
weren't the case, because if there are those that would make color the issue, it would only
enhance my disappointment that one of many Americans of color in the image of say Dr. Sowell
did not wish choose to go on the firing line. I would have been thrilled.

Pamela Grow

As other lovers of large central government before him have done, the President made a back-
handed apology to the American people, in this case for his unsuccessful effort at a takeover of
American medicine:  "this is a complex issue, and the longer it was debated, the more skeptical
people became. I take my share of the blame for not explaining it more clearly to the American
people."

I have personally had enough of this type of condescension to last me for a lifetime.  To suggest
that the people were ignorant of what was good for them, and could not see that they needed
this tyranny imposed only because of some shortcoming in the instructions issued from the
Beltway, is an intolerable affront.  Who anointed this man to be our "teacher?"

For Liberty!

Dave Weinbaum replies:

Thanks for your comments Pam. Always appreciated!

Bill Kramer

Dave that was an excellent article and on the mark.  I did not realize until your article that
Hillary was missing.  I am sure that was not noticed by most people or brought up in  the news.

looks like Dave must have some thorns in his side, where are the other post?

Paperpuncer, 'story' is just what this article is.

Good politics on TV today! 140 Replubicans vs 1 Democrat. I hope we see more of this. I got
to wonder, if the Republicans have such great proposals, why didn't they propose them when
they controlled congress and the white house? Someone explain it too me.

Why can't I see the other 5 comments. Is Cheney or Rumsfield running the newspaper now?

OldProf

Mashed 140 Repubs with his teleprompter tied behind his back. I doubt that we will see the
Right make that mistake again. Best to sit far from President Obama and run those talking points
without having to hear his response. And no TV ever again! Nothing like a good butt kicking for
an evenings entertainment. Fox couldn't report the full content of the President's remarks. What
cowards.

shorttimer

According to reports the Republicans have already decided that it was a mistake to allow
cameras in and that will not happen again. Like him or hate him, Obama can go toe to toe with
their very best and does not need notes. I watched some of it live and then more on MSNBC.
Best show I have seen in a long while. From the interviews that I have seen so far, those in
leadership still have no desire to work for the good of the country they still want to play the
game of WIN in 2010 at any cost.? What a shame. I personally want to throw the whole bunch
out, Dems and Repub. and start all over with those that want to accomplish some good for the
country.

Dave Whinebaum

'impose upon them the very things they were lividly against'

sound familiar...you know, like that previous administration used to do.

Fake Whinebaum,

'*yawn*'

If you're so bored, why would you even bother to comment on here? Besides that, everything
you have to say about Dave's articles is moronic. Go chew your cud!! Mooooronic!

Dave Weinbaum replies:

1.Thanks, Paperpuncher 2. Independent, '...why didn't they propose them when they controlled
congress and the white house?' There was NO clamor for HC reform, although with my
proposed plan, it would be beneficial without destroying the country. There was and is no great
desire for crap and tax, the takeover of the car and financial industry etc. There IS a want to try
terrorists as military combatants, and not read terrorists Miranda, rights they have NO
BUSINESS GETTING! Obama is doing things AGAINST what Americans want. I'm backed up
conclusively by the polls and recent elections, especially Scott Brown in the most liberal state in
the union.

----

Wow! Thanks Whiner. I almost forgot to plug the show. It's on Friday mornings @ 9:05 AM til'
10. If you want to be on the show call 364-0800. It's on News Radio KZNN 99.7 FM and
KTTR 1490 AM

I've got a growing audience and 7 sponsors (2 of my businesses) It's a LOT of fun mixed with
up-to-date current events. Be there or---end up like Whiner! :>)

independent

There was no clamor for HC reform??? What were the Clintons' proposing in '93? There was
NO clamor for HC reform with the republicans, you're correct there. Tax cuts for the wealthy
was of the most importance to the republicans and it passed, with the help of some democrats.
The trickle down effect obviously never worked, and it didn't for Ronnie either, but it was a
great way to redistribute more of the wealth to the rich. Use all the upper case you want and
keep abetting paperpuncher who likes to call people names and tell them how stupid they are,
cause that is the way you want it. You two live to discredit people in politics, in business, in
life, and it shows in your comments. I would listen to your show if the POTUS would call you
and debate you. That would be worth listening too.

This was posted on May 2, 2001

http://www.pnhp.org/news/2001/may/sweeping_health_care.php

Of course I can find many articles to discredit what these physicians were sponsoring then,
that's not my point, but for you to say it wasn't an issue at the time is inaccurate.

Dave Weinbaum replies:

'There was no clamor for HC reform??? What were the Clintons' proposing in '93?' Yeah that's
right. It didn't pass then with a Dem majority in the House and Senate. Because of that debacle,
Clinton laost the House and Senate to the Repubs for the first time in 40 years.

Obamacare hasn't passed yet with a super Dem Majority where they didn't need a single
Republican vote. Now they risk reversal in the House and Senate in 2010 and Obama is in
trouble. Obamacare is a fraud Government would takeover 1/6th of the economy and because of
the rush and hidden deals and over 3000 pages of unread bill, the American public, Dems,
Repubs and independents are against it. After 29 speeches selling HC, Obama has managed to
lower Obamacare popularity to 35 to 40% of the American public and lose 3 big elections.

84% of the American public like our HC system and for the 10 to 15 million who want it and
can't aford it, it would be an easy fix.

You sound like you've got some connections. Tell Obama to call me, 9:05 AM, Friday @ 364-
0800.

independent

It didn't pass, but it was still an issue. It's been an issue since the days of Truman. Maybe
before then. That's my point, wether it passed or not, wasn't. It was still brought forth.
Physicians felt it was an issue as they do today.

Scare tactics work better than the truth don't they, in the short term. Until a few years go by and
we find out things like, they didn't really have mass weapons of destruction, everyone was just
scared into believing they had them. I wonder if this will turn out that way too. Politicians and
their lies.

How does 'if the POTUS would call you and debate you, I would listen' turn into 'You sound
like you've got some connections'? I live in Rolla like you do you where nobody has any
connections. Remember what Ashcroft said in the 2000 Senate campaign,Rolla is a hick town.

Oh, Sorry, I do remember a candidate for president stopping here once. I wonder who in this
town has the connection? Maybe you should talk to them. Heck, I bet you play golf with them.
They would probably love to be on your talk show gig, you with your growing audience and
seven sponsors (2 of your own businesses). Obama connection, you need to call 364-8000 @ 9:
05 am, Friday and get it set up. Please let us know here when it's a go, since some of us can't to
listen to radios at work, because... we have to work.

Paperpuncher

@ whatsnew...

1. 'I'm sorry but no matter how many hours or gallons of sweat you pour out during the course
of doing your job, your salary should NOT be 6 figures.'

2. 'I just don't understand how people that make $100,000 or more think they need all of it to
live on. '
Last time I looked this is America, The Land of the Free, with Freedom to pursue Happiness
and Prosperity. If you weren't a lazy slacker and had pursued a higher education, you too could
make a higher living, instead of demanding that others who actually made an effort to better
themselves for their $100,000+ incomes,... should share their hard earned money with you?

Please explain to us, why you think it is fair that a person who has pursued higher education (at
high cost) and applied themselves diligently towards the pursuit of high scale income, should
then turn around a share their bounty with the likes of lazy you. You haven't done a single thing
to earn the right to someone else's money. The game is called 'Survival of the fittest'. That's life,
get used to it. If you are intelligent (?) and actually applied yourself to any kind of effort to
better your income, you too could be enjoying Prosperity.

3. 'I for one would agree to let President Obama do whatever is necessary to remove any lobby
from all corporations and special interest that are only looking for another dollar.'

I see that you aren't particularly upset that Obama's income is quite large:

Barack Obama - President US - Born: USA, Hawaii 1961 - Married - Children: 2
Barack Obama
# Annual: USD 2,000,000.00......!
# Monthly: USD 166,666.00.....!
# Weekly: USD 40,000.00.....!
# Daily: USD 8,000.00.....!

And I see that you also do not have a clue that Corporations and business (be it small or big)
have to exist for people (like you) to have a job in order to live. You should not look at the hand
that feeds and try to bite it off. Without those Corporations and businesses (ie: McDonald's,
Wal-mart, the Steel Industry, Rolla Books & Toys, Red Door Gifts, etc.) this country would
soon become poor, poor, poor, like Haiti. And how do you think our HealthCare System would
work then? With Corporations and business gone there would be no huge taxes paid into our
economy to support anything.

People like Dave, have what they have through education, hard work, initiative, know how, and
a little good luck. Dave can be proud of what he has accomplished, because that is the idea here
in America, HIS ACCOMPLISHMENTS! You have no right to his personal income derived
from HIS accomplishments.

4. 'all I really wanted to say is, this is America take it or leave it.'

Back at ya with that statement. If you're not happy here,... You need to pack up and move to
where they practice what you preach, Cuba, North Korea, Laos, China, etc.!

You 'Suck it up'!

Amen Paperpuncher!!!!!

Salary = $400,000 plus amenities. Are you counting the Secret Service salaries, the cost of Air
Force One, and what else? Please inventory your figure of $2,000,000 for the President.

Just out of curiousity; I wonder if there is a law requiring the prez to live in the White House
and lacking such a law how does the IRS look at it.

Dave Weinbaum replies:

Good discussion! Keep it up! :>)

nifong

I cannot wait till November. Hopefully there will be some new blood in Washington that will
govern for the citizens and not the parties. Im all for new faces even if they are Dems as long as
they remember the old document that their predecessors pushed under the bus.

Dave Weinbaum replies:

I don't even know where to start after reading this, I am sure that you must be someone who
could care less about anything, or anybody that doesn't put a dollar in your pocket.

I cannot express the gratitude in my heart enough for a country where poor and middle class
people can become rich people if they want---or remain poor or middle class Should they
choose. Just beware those who opted to be poor who, through their bitterness, seek to destroy
and steal from those who chose to move forward instead of stay the same or recede.

rolla_native

Dave,

I don't agree with your politics (motivations for same), but must praise your involvement with
the upcoming cancer fundraising gala, and donation of considerable Cardinals baseball items for
the silent auction.

A tip of the hat to Dave ...

but keep your hat on, Dave ... don't want you to catch a cold.

Dave Weinbaum replies:

Thank you Native. You must be in the manic part of your cycle. :>)

rolla_native

nope ... I went through menopause many years ago.

independent

Wasn't John McCain great today in those Senate hearings today. Old John has become
somewhat of a 'flip flopper'. John, it's time to retire and spend time with your beautiful wife and
children.

I have to agree with nifong, we need some new blood. Voting for 'Roy Blunt' won't give us new
blood. He is some of the same old blood, he'll just be in a different Washington building saying
no, and when a republican president gets back in, he will always say yes, just like before. Stand
by your words nifong and vote for new blood please, whoever you want to choose, republican,
democrat or independent, or doesn't it matter, will the money game from the corporations win
the seat? The Supreme court is here to help once again like they did in 2000.

I just read today that the 'shoe bomber' was read his miranda rights 5 minutes after he was
arrested. Where was that trial held at again? Why is this one so different? Don't answer, America
already knows. America can't be trusted with terrorists and civilian court evidently.

I don't care to become a millionaire. Some people may have the ability to make bags of money,
but that doesn't make them better people does it? Many of them marry 2-3 times, commit
crimes, cheat people out of their money, take drugs, etc. My wife and I have been together over
25 years, through thick and thin and thinner, raised a family, but we still love each other and are
still married, even though I or her haven't 'made it'. Money doesn't equal happiness from what
I've seen. I just want the people who 'made it' to pay their equal share. Warren Buffett said that
he was taxed at 17.7 per cent on the $46 million he made last year, without trying to avoid
paying higher taxes, while his secretary, who earned $60,000, was taxed at 30 per cent. Mr.
Buffett also said that a Republican proposal to eliminate elements of inheritance tax, which
raises about $30 billion a year from the assets of about 12,000 rich families, would broaden the
disparity between rich and poor. (read 'redistribution of wealth' that Dave talks about often) I
wonder how many of those 12,000 rich families live in Rolla? How many small businesses are
equated with those 12,000 rich families? Who is going to make up the difference on that $30
billion?

I can never get an answer to that question from anyone.

I love this line by Jimmy Kimmel,

'After Obama spoke, the Republicans gave their rebuttal, during which they pointed out
that Obama has repeatedly failed to solve any of the problems they created under Bush.'

You go Jimmy!

Paperpuncher

Dave, have you seen the latest news going around on the internet about the IRS asking for bids
on the purchase of shotguns?

'The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to purchase sixty Remington Model 870 Police
RAMAC #24587 12 gauge pump-action shotguns for the Criminal Investigation Division.'

The above quoted from this government webpage 'FedBizOpps.Gov' Solicitation Number:

s=opportunity&mode=form&id=8d3b076bd4de14bbda5aba699e80621d&tab=core&_cview=1&

So, the IRS is willing to shoot at and possibly kill people in order to confiscate peoples
property?
